At Fanfare we’re always looking for ways to give back to our community. In the climate that we have rather suddenly found ourselves in, community has become a lifeline.
I decided to launch Fanfare 1 year ago with the core messaging centred around sustainability and encouraging people to look at their clothes differently. Although we too have been impacted by Covid-19 both financially and with our short-term goals being put on hold I am still thankful we are able to continue with the business in many ways thanks to the power of the internet.
However, I also understand that there are many others out there who are not able to do so. And at the very extreme of this, there are those who are putting their lives at risk on a daily basis to ensure that we all receive the medical attention we need when we are at our most vulnerable.
Being a small business, we are limited in our capacity to offer certain kinds of assistance, but the power we do have is being a part community of caring individuals who want to see the world become a better place. In one of our most recent blog posts, we have outlined a number of ways that you can look after your community and help those who are most vulnerable. Please take the time to read it and get involved in any way you can. If you have the spare time and the capability, please get involved with the GoodSAM project, run by the Royal Voluntary Service on behalf of the NHS.
As a small token of our gratitude, we will be offering a £30 credit to any NHS members of staff who wish to make a purchase from Fanfare. It’s a simple gesture that we hope will give you something to look forward to for a celebratory dinner or evening out once this is all over. Let us know if you, your family or your loved ones are front line workers at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If it is safe to do so, it’s also important to support local and small businesses that you come across during this period. Make a purchase, buy a gift card, spread the word on social media. Every little bit helps.
Remember to keep yourselves safe and stay indoors where possible so that we may all get through this together, as a community.
T&Cs apply – Fanfare will provide £25 credit to any workers that email us with an official NHS email address by April 30th 6pm GMT. The credit is non redeemable against cash and is non-transferrable.
