We met Elle Guest and asked her a few questions to get to know her better and inspiration behind her designs.
Tell us a little bit about yourself...
My name is Elle and I live near Portsmouth on the South Coast. I’m obsessed with colour and interiors! I studied Fine Art in Bath where I developed my style of work you can see today.
How will you style the Elle Guest x Fanfare Label tee?
I’ll be wearing my T-shirt oversized with my white dickies or some dark denim straight-leg jeans.

What made you excited to collaborate with Fanfare Label?
I love that Fanfare creates timeless pieces to keep for years! I’m a big advocate for second-hand and making more conscious decisions when shopping; actually buying pieces you truly love. I always take a long time to decide whether or not I really like an item of clothing.
Where did you draw inspiration for the design?
The chosen colour palette felt gentle and calm because of the muted tones therefore I wanted a lot of harmony amongst the shapes, as well as curved edges.

Shop on Vinted! I go to the shops to get inspiration for what I like or look at my favourite people on Instagram and TikTok and then try to find it on Vinted. All my friends will tell you how obsessed I am!
What is important to you when it comes to connecting fashion with art?
I think keeping it not too crazy and connecting with the colour palettes I would want to wear.
Why is it important for you to support Friends of the Earth charity?
Any charity that is supporting the environment in any way is so necessary. I'm super aware of the changing climate and try to do as much as I can to limit my impact.
Nothing at the moment but I would love to create more clothing items or interior pieces with my designs on.
Artist Statement:
My paintings deal with the notion of care, abstracting the human body to be a minimal form that is infantile, still forming and vulnerable
The paintings are nurtured from the beginning, from the first coat of acrylic and throughout the process of making decisions of how I want the forms to socialise and co-exist in the space of the canvas. Colour palettes that are soft and endearing inform the aesthetic alongside everyday inspiration from fashion to interiors that our bodies exist within. Acrylics are used to achieve flatness and the softness of colour, relating to a gentleness that resides within the space in the forms that exist in.
The interaction of the developing forms creates a language. How the forms learn to co-exist by intertwining, curving around, and lying on top or below each other.
